How We Help

General Vet Consultations
new consultations Whether it’s a routine check-up or your pet is sick or injured, our caring vet team are here to help. If your pet is sick, then a treatment plan can be made to ensure the best chance of recovery. Medical cases may need blood tests, faecal exams, x-rays or even ultrasound. Where these are not available in-house, we have close relationships with nearby specialists to undertake a thorough work up.
New Pet Health Checks
Bird Husbandy and Diet New pet checks are strongly recommended to ensure they are healthy and free of parasites, and to discuss all aspects of how to care for your new arrival. Consultations involve a discussion on diet, housing and preventative health care along with an examination of your pet and any vaccinations or parasite treatment they may need.
Pet Boarding and In-Patient Care
Whether you are leaving for holidays or your pet needs extra care and attention to recover our boarding service is here to help. We offer a full boarding service for your avian and unusual pets. Discounted rates are available for stays over a week and for multiple pets from the same family. Space is limited especially over the busy holiday season, so book early to ensure your babies are taken care of by our highly trained staff.
Preventative & Remedial Surgery

Bird Surgery Preventative surgery such as desexing can also be arranged by prior consultation. A health check for your pet is essential prior to any surgery.

  • Routine desexing (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, sugar gliders, rats, and female bearded dragons)
  • Rabbit and Guinea Pig dentistry
  • Soft tissue surgery
  • Avian fracture repairs
  • Foreign body removals
  • Gut blockages

"Incredible, passionate..."
“Incredible, compassionate and well informed veterinarians and support staff. I would highly recommend this clinic to all rabbit and guinea pig owners in western suburbs! It is such a relief to finally have expert care in reach for our little guys who often get sick or lose condition due to their complexities.” – Hayley
"Can't recommend enough..."

“BeacVet have an incredible team that genuinely care!! They all took such great care of our little mini lop rabbit Gnocchi after finding out she had spinal damage. Being new to Melbourne we were grateful we were pointed in their direction and although we have to travel 1hr+ to get there we wouldn’t go anywhere else now for our bunnies! We are so grateful to Dr Jac, Dr Glynn + Dr Nick and all of the nurses for being so patient, passionate and dedicated to Gnocchi’s recovery and we are so pleased with how far she has come. It’s not every day you find a vet nurse who will put your pet inside their shirt to warm them up!! So thankful we were able to visit as much as we wanted while she was there and thankful for being updated so often!! Can’t recommend enough!!” – Claire

"They go above and beyond..."

I would highly recommend this place for your fur babies. They are so caring and wonderful people. They gave my little boy the best care while he spent 4 days in there. I think they go above and beyond in my opinion and they always kept me updated with text or pics while I wasn’t there. Which was a comfort to me. I’m so glad I found this place.” – Melinda

"Most caring Vet and nurse I’ve ever had"

The most caring Vet and nurse I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! Took such good care of my rabbit in his final moments, even putting on Emla cream so he wouldn’t feel the injection. So reassuring! Such a thorough examination and couldn’t recommend them enough! Thank you.” – Alex

"Really satisfied..."

“I was really satisfied how my Cockatiel was handled by Dr Tina. She spoke so calmly and friendly towards my Cockatiel that also kept him as a bird, calm. When I left the nurse walked me out and held the doors open for me, which was a really nice gesture” – Michael
